Captain Cook Memorial Museum Terms and Conditions

 TICKET TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to any purchase of tickets for Captain Cook Memorial Museum entry admissions.

Please read these Terms carefully before you order tickets from us.

 1. CCMM reserves the right to change prices at any time
 2. CCMM General entry ticket is valid for date of entry and up until 3rd November 2024
. The Gift Aided ticket is valid for date of entry plus 12 months thereafter. 

 3. Tickets entitle the holder/s to free entry to some workshops; as advertised. Availability may differ from event to event. For more details, please visit our website www.cookmuseumwhitby.co.uk or our Facebook page.
 4. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded (in whole or in part) after purchase.
 5. Lost tickets cannot be replaced under any circumstances.
 6. Original tickets only - photocopies etc. will not be accepted.
 7. Tickets must not be sold or resold and are non-transferrable. You may be asked for ID to match your ticket name, if you are unable to provide matching ID, CCMM reserves the right to refuse entry.
 8. Tickets must not be laminated.

 9. In circumstances where a concession is claimed, proof of identity and concession entitlement (for example of age or student status) may be required to obtain entry to the Museum. 
10. The management reserves the right to refuse entry, if for any reason they deem there is a risk to CCMM and the exhibits and the public or staff on site.

11. Improper use of the ticket will result in confiscation and a request for payment for admission.
12. Admission for children under 5 is free.
13. Ticket to be purchase online all day. 

14. Photography- Visitors are welcome to take general photographs in the Museum, with the exception of close ups or use of flash on work on paper and textiles. No photography is allowed in the special exhibition in the attic because that is not permitted by lenders of the exhibits.

15 Filming- From time to time we may, or we may authorise third parties to, carry out filming, photography and/or sound recordings at the Museum. By purchasing tickets you agree (on your own behalf and on behalf of any persons for whom you purchase tickets and who attend our premises) that we and any third party authorised by us may include you and those you have bought tickets for in such films, photographs and/or sound recordings and may exploit such films, photographs and sound recordings in perpetuity in any format whatsoever without payment.

You are responsible for bringing this provision to the attention of any person for whom you have bought tickets. We will always let visitors know if filming or photography is taking place during their visit.


E-Tickets
Once your online booking has been confirmed an order confirmation will be sent to the email address you specified in your order, at which point a contract will come into existence between you and us. No agreement is formed between you and us for the sale of etickets until we email you with this confirmation.

It is your responsibility to check prior to purchase that the information you have supplied to us with regards to your eticket requirements is accurate.


COMPLIANCE with these terms 

We have the right, without liability to you, to refuse to allow you to enter the Museum or an Event and/or to escort you from our premises if you, in our judgment, breach any of these Terms.

Nobody else has any rights under this agreement. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of these Terms.

If a court finds part of this agreement illegal, the rest will continue in force. Each of the paragraphs of these Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

Which laws apply to this agreement and where you may bring legal proceedings. These Terms are governed by English law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of tickets in the English courts.
